Colour and B&W photos of events, people and views of the Upper Calder Valley.
David Martin is an enthusiastic amateur photographer living in Hebden Bridge. After a lifetime in the Motor Industry he is now retired and spends much of his time walking and taking photographs. His particular interest is in landscape photography, and he has been producing a local calendar since 2003. Born and bred in the area he also has a great interest in the architectural evolution of the Calder Valley and enjoys recording the changes. He has been taking photographs with a variety of cameras for over fifty years but embraced digital photography in 2000.

Luddenden Lower Mill Site - DMC05099
This site was occupied for much of C20 by Lindley's Beauvoir Engineering Works which made nuts and bolts. Demolished in the early 1980s it is now the site of the Bluebell Walk Estate. The new estate on the right is on the site of Carr Field House.…
