Title
Burton Agnes Hall, the East Front - HLS05713
Description
Slide 8 - Sir Griffiths Boynton, the third Baronet, born in 1654, added to the mansion of Burton Agnes, and traces of his work may be seen in the East Front.
To bring it into harmony with the prevailing taste of the period he situated in or about the year 1712, large sash windows in place of the mullioned ones. Fortunately the large bay window (which lights the drawing room) at the north east angle of the building escaped mutilation, and adds much picturesqueness and dignity to this front.
