Title
Burton Constable, North West view of Front - HLS05736
Description
Slide 5 - Complimentary to the last view, we show another one, of the west and north portion of the front facing the garden. Tradition assigns the northern portion to as early a period as the reign of King Stephen (who died in 1135), the name of Stephen's Tower being still retained. This tower can be discerned on the extreme left of the photograph.
