Title

Ledston Hall, from the Terrace on West - HLS05833

Description

Slide 9: Sir John Lewis, of Marr, Doncaster, carried on the work which Strafford had begun and completed the house as it stands, laying out gardens, forming the Terraces, and enclosing the park on the north side; and surrounding it with a substantial wall, adding to it the fine Lodge previously described. The view shows a portion of the Hall facing west on the terrace front. The door into the Chapel is also shown.
