This is an interesting picture when it is compared to the Chapel today. The 2 doors on the right have now been replaced by windows, and the roof line completely changed.
The memorial was unveiled on 29th April 1923, it stands in High Street, Luddenden, between the Lord Nelson Inn and the church, on the site of what was the Old Smithy.
