Its replacement is a quite large, three storey stone building with a centrally placed, five storey tower and modern extensions at the front, a smaller tower with triangular roof at the rear, dam and associated cottages. A smaller building on the road below the main mill (probably offices) boasts a small clock tower. PRESENT USE AND POTENTIAL: The mill is currently under the same ownership as a neighbouring New Mill (see BB 7) and they are jointly known as Stainland Board Mills. However, this site seems to be only partly used, with most of the activity centred on New Mill. Condition may deteriorate.
