Holme Station, Cliviger on the Todmorden-Burnley 'Copy Pit' line. On 27th October 1907 some wagons on a coal train became detached at Copy Pit and rolled back down and leaving the track demolished the Booking Office killing the Booking Clerk.

The Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Society (LYRS) was formed in 1950 and now has over 800 members here and overseas. It has been a registered charity since 2003 to further its aims “of disseminating information about the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway using historical information to educate and inform the community at large about this part of our national heritage.” The Society holds a large collection of photographs and drawings and other information about the L&YR in its archive for either historical research or railway modelling. Regular publications are the Magazine and LYR Focus in addition to occasional special books. For more information visit www.lyrs.org.uk.
