In the 1980s much of the industrial heritage of the South Pennine area was being changed or in some cases lost. Pennine Heritage commissioned a survey of the condition of mills in the area. Photographs were taken when the survey was carried out, and the survey results have been added to those images in this collection.

APPROX DATE OF SITE AND BUILDINGS: Late 19C
DESCRIPTION/HISTORY: Most of this site is taken up by a stone weaving shed. Various other small buildings, including a probable engine house and a late 18C cottage building which has been incorporated into the works. Was a cotton mill.
PRESENT USE AND POTENTIAL: The site seems to be mostly used, but it was not clear exactly what for. Some of the ‘improvements’ to the site are out of character. Information from a Mill Survey 1984
