Description
An account of the resource
William Henwood is a retired local authority manager. He lives in Staffordshire but has known and loved Upper Calderdale since the 1970s and is a regular visitor. Encouraged by a friend in Halifax who was volunteering with the National Trust, he started collecting old postcards and photographs of Hardcastle Crags and the surrounding area in the 1990s, and is still doing so.

Bottom left is New Bridge Mill a former water powered cotton mill part of which became Tea Rooms from the 1890s until the First World War; it was demolished 1950s.
