Mytholm Oxford/Eton Streets - ALC08251

Description

The foreground of the photograph shows the terrace houses off Stubbing Holme Road, which are approached from a turning halfway up Bridge Lanes, Hebden Bridge. You can see the reflections of the terrace ends in the Rochdale Canal. The houses are built between the canal and the River Calder. The terrace to the left-hand side is of a row of "back-to-back houses, called Trinity Street. The other side of the "Back-to-back" houses and the facing terrace of "through" houses make up Eton Street. The next two rows of terraces compose Cambridge Street. The remaining terrace on the right is Oxford Street, the complementing facing houses of Oxford Street have not been built at the time of the photograph.
