Halifax Cooling Towers - CBC06128

Description

These chimneys were part of Halifax power station, located roughly where Sainsbury's is today. Sometimes nicknamed 'Salt and Pepper' they were built in the late 1930s and demolished in 1975 although there had been a failed attempt to blow them up the previous year.
