Description
LYRS 6403 - 1963. General view of Platform 4 including canopy & columns and the clock. The covered stairway went up the Booking Office. By the time this photo was taken the other two former GNR platforms to the station front had been closed and dismantled for several years and this Platform would be about to suffer a similar fate. At the same time the three platforms to the rear of the building were reduced to two.
