The chimney of Bridge Mill can be seen to the right of the picture. The houses on the left were pulled down and are now the site of the Council Offices.
The stone building to the right of the bridge has been demolished and the site landscaped with steps leading down to the river. Demolition resulted in the opening up of the bridge's third arch and the creation of a short riverside walkway. Theā¦
