Situated on the Rochdale Canal near the former Woodman Inn, the river is behind the wall. The seat remains but the wall has been replaced by a wooden fence.

Under the arch you can just make out the chimney of Land Mill. Photo probably dates from about 1920 as the stonework was repointed in, or around, 1928.
