ALC00320. Visitors to Hardcastle Crags walking up Keighley Road from the Railway Station early twentieth century. At Whitsuntide and September holiday weekends several thousand people would arrive by train for a day out.

An open top tram on Burnley Road looking up Station Road to the large station warehouse, early 20th century. The Halifax Corporation trams reached Hebden Bridge in November 1901. This postcard may have been taken to commemorate the inaugural run.

The Royal Electric Theatre' on New Road opened in 1913 on what is now the Memorial Gardens. It ceased as a cinema June 24th 1921 when the present day Picture House opened.

The 1843 extension to Bridge Mill does not show in this picture, therefore this picture was taken before that date. The road is now wider and has been raised. This is one of the oldest photos of Hebden Bridge.
