This band, along with several others, provided the music for dancers in the popular Co-operative Hall, in Hebden Bridge. The hall could accommodate over 300 dancers.

There had been an inn on this site since 1851. The White Horse Hotel closed its doors 1960 and was demolished in 1962, the site is now a car park.
