The railway line was used to transport men and materials during the construction of the reservoir, which was opened in October 1907.

Station staff posing for the camera. Date unknown but probably early 20th century looking up the line towards Burnley. The crossover on the level crossing was lifted by the time the station closed in 1958.

Looking down the line towards Todmorden. The station had opened with the line in 1849 but was closed in 1958. Originally there had been a crossover at the point of the level crossing.
